We’re Working Remotely and Progressing With Our Construction Sites!
The BC Government declares construction as an essential service. TQ Construction is still operating and committed to maintaining our top-quality service while taking the COVID-19 pandemic seriously. The health and safety of our staff, clients, vendors and trades are our top priority. Our office and on-site crew are fully available. We are adapting and progressing projects in this different and uncertain time. We are working remotely from our home offices and practicing extra safety measures on sites. Here are a few ways TQ is adapting to slow the spread of COVID-19
Virtual Consults & Project Planning
TQ Construction is offering free Virtual Project Consultations for new clients. With staying at home more, you’re probably noticing areas in your home that can be improved for you and your family. Perhaps, you’re considering a designated office space, addition, outdoor living space to needing additional bathrooms? This extra time at home can help you with planning a project you’ve been considering. A renovation or new build project can take months to design and plan even in the best of times. Instead of our usual in-person consultation visit to your home, we’re adapting to a virtual consultation. We can easily share images, drawings, and materials selections remotely in face-to-face video consultations through an online meeting platform. Let’s help get your project started today!
- Contact Us
One of our project consultants will chat over the phone with you to learn about you, your needs, project scope, budget, schedule, and more. You will also learn about TQ and our processes. - Schedule a Virtual Consultation
Using TQ’s meeting software, we can do a walk-through of your house with your smart phone, tablet or laptop. Plus, house plans, measurements, sketches, photos and inspirational ideas shared with TQ will help us lots! - Follow Up
After the virtual project consultation, your TQ project consultant will interpret your project’s scope of work into a document that we call an Assessment. You will see what is possible to achieve and receive a ballpark price for the project at different levels of investment. Time-frames are also considered. We will present this in another virtual meeting. - Design Build with TQ
If you are comfortable with the assessment, you will begin a Design Services Agreement (DSA). TQ’s project consultant and team will take care of you throughout the whole process!
On-Site Construction Measures
- Our on-site crew practices physical distancing with a minimum of 2 meters apart
- We are limiting the number of people on-site and have crew work on separate floors, when it is possible
- Tradespeople are scheduled one at a time
- Any client meetings are held are when there are few or no other people on site
- If any staff member feels ill, they are to stay home and update us
- Proper hand washing, hand sanitizing, disinfecting and other best practices are strongly in place, as well as wearing mask, respirators and gloves
TQ Team Video Chats
With only one staff present at any time, our TQ office is closed to the public to keep our staff and clients safe, but our company and projects are still active! Our teams are busy working and collaborating with our colleagues, clients and trades online through virtual meetings. We can still share smiles and also continue our TQ “Wine Wednesdays” virtually.
Stay Connected While Staying Apart
Communication is important to TQ, especially now more than ever. You can still call our office phone at 604.430.9900. A TQ member will speak with you or leave us a message, and we will return your call. You can also send us an email at info@tqconstruction.ca and stay connected on social media. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact TQ.
