Experienced Carpenter
Looking for 3rd and 4th-year equivalent experience or greater in both renovation and new construction. We are looking to add “A Few Good Men” to our team to act as lead hands for our Project Supervisors.
You should have experience and be comfortable with all types of carpentry including but not limited to formwork, framing, and finishing.
It’s expected you complete tasks assigned without constant supervision and be interested in helping manage the site, crew, and sub-trades in the absence of the Site Supervisor.
You should have an excellent work ethic, solid communication skills, own a complete array of tools, a reliable vehicle, and always represent the company in a positive manner.
This position is ideally suited for someone aspiring to be a Site Supervisor or Lead Carpenter role. There is an opportunity for apprentice sponsorship towards attaining a Red Seal.
To qualify for the role, you will need the following qualifications:
- Minimum 4 to 5 + years experience in residential construction
- Must be a resident of Canada for at least 1 year
- Follow site safety rules
- Confidently read and understand site drawings
- Understanding of the BC Building Code
- Understanding of Vancouver’s industry by-laws
- Have a valid current driver’s license and own a reliable vehicle
- Sound judgment with the ability to take direction and work without supervision
- Highly motivated self-starter who works well in a team environment
- Must own steel-toed boots/shoes, and having your own tools is an asset
- *Red Seal Carpentry Ticket is highly preferred, not a requisite
Your own reliable transportation is a must as our job sites are typically across the Lower Mainland (New Westminster, Coquitlam, Burnaby, Richmond, West Vancouver, and North Vancouver). Your typical work schedule is Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. This is a permanent, full-time position.

Residential Site Supervisor
The successful candidate will have many years of experience in residential renovations and/or new custom home construction in BC. As well as a thorough knowledge of construction and BC Building codes, you will also possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to lead others and thrive in a team environment. You must be able to oversee crew scheduling and job flow, have strong administration skills, and be comfortable with basic computer skills. A laptop, cell phone, array of tools, and reliable vehicle are required. You will be provided with the highest quality project documents to assist you. As a Site Supervisor you will be accountable for, but not limited to:
- Executing the written scope of the contract.
- Maintaining tight control of budgets and schedules.
- Uphold the highest quality control standards.
- Ensure timelines are consistently met.
- Enforce safety requirements.
- Coordinating the resolution of deficiencies with applicable trades.
You will represent the company with integrity and honesty at all times and be the first and primary point of contact with the client as well as the sub-trades. You will be supported in all aspects of the project by the Production Manager, our design team, and the sales department. You will be responsible for the site safety of any crew and sub-trades as per Worksafe BC job site regulations. You will be inspecting the quality of work by others on your team and that of the sub-trades working under your direction, frequently and regularly to ensure only the best practices are followed and we are leaving behind a product we can stand behind with our 2/5/10 warranty guarantee and the homeowner can be proud of for years to come.

Junior Apprentice Carpenter
We are looking for a 2nd or 3rd-year apprentice carpenter for residential renovations. You must be reliable, self-motivated, and hard-working with strong listening skills and the ability to follow directions. Your own reliable transportation is a must as our job sites range from New Westminster to West Vancouver. Health benefits are available after 3 months and RRSP contributions after 6 months. You must be a resident of Canada for more than 6 months. In order to qualify for the role, you will need the following qualifications:
- You must be a resident of Canada for more than 6 months.
- Familiar with the BC Building Code.
- 2 to 3 years of carpentry experience.
- Sound judgment with the ability to take direction and work without supervision.
- Highly motivated self-starter who works well in a team environment.

General Labourer
This position is for a hard-working and capable individual ideally looking to develop their carpentry skills and become red-seal certified. Basic carpentry knowledge and at least 1 year relevant experience is preferred. You must supply basic tools and have a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation (truck an asset). Must be a resident of Canada. Your own reliable transportation is a must as our job sites range from New Westminster to West Vancouver. This is a permanent, full-time position with benefits. Health benefits are available after 3 months and RRSP contributions after 6 months. In order to qualify for the role, you will need the following qualifications:
- You must be a resident of Canada for more than 6 months.
- High school diploma.
- Must be fit and healthy and able to lift and carry heavy items.
- Sound judgment with the ability to take direction and work without supervision.

Interior Designer
TQ is growing and is actively looking for an ambitious, experienced Intermediate Interior Designer to join the Team. As an Interior Designer, you will have previous experience working with hand sketches and detail and 3D drawings. If you have experience working with municipal Building Department requirements for drawings, including site plans, elevations, sections, and details, you will be a good fit for the role. Experience in permit applications will be considered an asset.
In this key role, you will need to have knowledge of local fixtures and finishes suppliers, showrooms and wholesalers, and fixtures and fittings such as plumbing, electrical, and flooring. You have proven capability in specifications writing and demonstrated ability to design for both high-end and moderate budgets. In order to qualify for the role, you will need the following qualifications:
- You must be a resident of Canada for more than 6 months.
- A degree or diploma in Interior Design or Architecture.
- 3 years of experience in residential Interior Design and renovations.
- Solid understanding of the BC Building Code.
- Solid understanding of Vancouver’s industry by-laws.
- Have a driver’s license and own a vehicle.
- Strong technical knowledge of programs like AutoCAD, Sketchup, and Chief Architect.
Meeting face-to-face with clients is an essential part of your job, so it is highly desirable that you are a positive, energetic individual with excellent communication skills. In order to do well in the role, you must be practiced at presenting design ideas to clients and have demonstrated experience consulting with clients on projects.
This position is for an experienced candidate with a large variety of project experience in residential renovations and new custom homes in the Vancouver area. A successful candidate will be responsible for being a design lead and for producing concepts, 3D drawings, permit drawings, working drawings, and specifications on projects.
We are looking for local candidates as you will be working closely with our project managers, estimators, salesmen, clients, and other stakeholders in the group on the execution of projects. You’re a person who sets goals and works to achieve them with a fresh, innovative approach. You must have excellent time-management skills, support, and work with construction crew under time pressure, and be detail-oriented.
