KEY FEATURES

Kitchen to dining room wall is opened to create a great room main floor. The kitchen is modernized with clean white shaker style custom cabinetry and complimentary contrasting quartz and granite slab counter tops. stainless appliances and a glass mosaic back splash add some depth and pull together the soft bright colour palette. A peek thru from kitchen to family room means that groups or kids are not segregated at larger gatherings.

Major load bearing wall separating the sunken living room from the dining room is completely removed. Previously only ‘balcony windows’ allowed interactions between the spaces, now there is a wide open lightness to the grand scale of the space that gives credit deserved to the wood panel ceiling feature. A massive steel beam was installed to maintain structural integrity; clad to match the walls it blends and seemingly disappears as though part of the original architecture.

The crystal chandelier, a sentimental family treasure, was refurbished by the homeowner, and now has a place of honour creating a sparkling focal point in all the home’s natural light.
